The parish is always delighted to have the students and staff of St. Margaret and St. Francis school visit and pray with our community.
On Wednesday, the students, staff, and parents of St. Margaret School joined us for a Holy Week Mass. Fr. Vincent helped students understand why this week is called Holy Week. Overall, he explained that we celebrate the events leading up to and including Jesus' death and resurrection. From the Gospel reading, Fr. Vincent emphasized how important it is to be truthful and not to betray your friends as Jesus had been betrayed. He reminded us all that, while we do not have to like everyone, we are all called to have God in our heart and to love one another. In other words, he asked us to be truthful with ourselves and kind to others.
On Thursday, the students and staff of St. Francis High School met for three liturgies so as to have an opportunity for everyone to gather and reflect on Jesus' sacrifice for each and every one of us.
