During this weekend, staff and students from St. Margaret, St. Francis, and other Catholic Education institutions expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to receive a Catholic Education.
Thank you to those who spoke to our parishioners. We appreciated hearing about how a Catholic Education permeates your every day at school.
One of the students communicated the following:
Every day at school, we begin with a prayer, and we talk about what Jesus would do.
Last year, at Christmas time, we made a huge manger scene in our front foyer that showed all of the students what Bethlehem looked like when Jesus was born. Our school also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.
Every year we celebrate All Souls’ Day. Many students brought photos of loved ones who passed away and added them to the school’s memorial. I feel very fortunate to attend a Catholic school and be a part of all of these activities.
The Alberta and Northwest Territories Bishops provided the following reflection.
