Why is it Good Friday and not Bad Friday, Sad Friday, or Ugly Friday?
In this most solemn of gatherings, many shed tears or sorrow in recalling the suffering of Jesus but also tears of hope in seeing the children placing lilies at the foot of the cross.
Fr. Gabriel asked us to consider the betrayals, conspiracies, and denials that are still in our world today. He urged us to question these injustices and carefully consider the choices we make. Fr. Gabriel reminded us that it is Good Friday because our Lord, God allowed His Son to die for us, for our salvation.
